Change is good: My role at Smarter Solutions is changing

After a fun ten years at Smarter Solutions, I am resigning my full-time position and transitioning to a contractor.

I am making this decision, not because of any issue with Smarter Solutions, but because I am looking to grow my analyst and academic skills as I prepare for retirement in a few years.

I am moving to Pittsburgh PA to take a job with my last employer, Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, to work as a research statistician and to teach at the Naval Post-Graduate School.  I also have an opportunity to teach at Duquesne University and possibly Penn State.

I plan to keep contact with all of the students and friends that I have made through Smarter Solutions.  All of my students will still work their certification through me, if they choose.  I will be able to keep writing this Blog.  Smarter Solutions will allow me to continue working within the business supporting the courses, the software, and the business processes.

Forrest Breyfogle and I have become good friends in my time here and I have learned a lot from him.  Smarter Solutions provides a unique view of Lean Six Sigma and in running businesses.  I am thankful that he is allowing me to continue my support of Smarter Solutions after my full-time role ends.

My Smarter Solutions email address will remain active along with my Linked-In account.  Stay in-touch.
